I can’t go with pant and bra on set – Precious Chukwu Eke

Even as a greenhorn, Precious Chukwu Eke’s stint as an actress still dazzles. The budding actress has   cautioned producers who would approach her with scripts that may want her going nude or topless while on a movie set.  Precious who is fondly called Orange Berry, made this known in a chat with HVP, after the conclusion of the production of the movie,  “My Neighbor’s Wife”, in Owerri. She played the role of Suzan in the movie.

Describing her role as “ challenging,” she said , “It’s so hectic because I saw myself doing a role that is not part of me. It’s not in any way known to be my kind of person, as it involves the character Suzan who happens to be a player.
“I really love the character even with its challenge. I would want to play it over and over again, because it brought out the best in me. And guess what? It was a wrap for me, as my best was offered,” she said.
The movie with the working title, “My Neighbor’s Wife”, and produced by Kingsley Okereke of the Divine Touch Productions received laudable praises from Precious who rated it as a big budget movie.”
On her stance for a nude role, she stressed that her colour makes it impossible for her to wear  revealing  clothes on set. “Will I even say that I have a busty look that can’t fit such wears? But the truth remains that I can’t go with pant and bra on set.”
Directed by Reginald Ebere, the movie starred the likes of Uche Ogbodo, Vitalis Ndubuisi, Andy Ike, Mimi Orjiekwe, Nina Bolanle, Shirley Igwe, Charles Billion, Osita Dike (Egbeigwe-Apama), Chinenye Uyanna, Adaeze Eluke among others.

Meet Nigerian male model who walks Milan, Paris runways

His name is Victor Ndigwe, he’s 19 years-old, he’s a male model and ain’t nothing wrong with that.
Victor Ndigwe4Not too long ago he was just like any other aspiring model in Nigeria, hustling for jobs and trying to get into a good agency, until his story changed.
Victor, who isn’t the only model in his family, had heard about the Aquafina Elite Model Look competition in Nigeria in 2012, and had decided to sign up with his sister. He didn’t get his chance until 2014 when he registered along with thousands of other hopefuls, except his sister who missed out because of school exams.
As luck, or maybe his excellent performance would have it, Victor was selected as part of 13 finalists who got a chance to impress the Elite Model Look international judges. Victor was victorious (talk about a good name), along with a female winner, Mayowa Nicholas.
Together, they got their big break into the international modelling industry, but here’s why Victor is special.
After winning the competition, he started out in Milan, walking the ramp for Ermenegildo Zegna and Missoni, the first ever Nigerian male model to do so. He then went on to Paris, where he made runway appearances for brands including Hermès, Balmain, Kenzo and Haider Ackermann!
Victor’s success has gained him tons of international attention and loads of female admirers, e.g. an interview withVogue Italy
Now Victor Nidgwe will serve as an inspiration to all upcoming models, especially finalists of Aquafina Elite Model Look 2015 this weekend in Lagos.
Speaking with Vogue Magazine, Victor said, “I want to inspire other models that have dreams the same way I had them. I just want to be a good example.”
Amazing he’s already doing that as a teenager!‎ Because, in addition to being an international model, courtesy the Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria contest, Victor is still in school, studying Applied Mathematics.
Super stardom seriously doesn’t get any better than this.

You need alcohol to enjoy today's songs - Nana Fynn laments loud music - See more at: http://www.myjoyonline.com/entertainment/2015/August-31st/you-need-alcohol-to-enjoy-todays-music-nana-fynn-laments-loud-music.php#sthash.a57q8Rgl.dpuf

Veteran highlife musician Nana Fynn Acquah Harrison known in showbiz as Nana Fynn has rubbished the quality of some Ghanaian songs for its poor sound engineering. "Unless maybe you've downloaded one or two bottles of beer when you are breezing and you want to dance then you can enjoy dancing” he said in an interview with Hitz FM's Black I on Daybreak. He says the poorly mixed Ghanaian songs are driving listeners to patronise American R&B and other foreign genres. The 'Forever' singer says an observation made by renowned music producer that only danceable songs in Ghana can be hits is indictment on our appreciation for good music Nana Fynn is of the view that this tendency for loud, bashing, club songs is pushing out large audience who prefer measured sound engineering. “In your quiet moment when you want to reflect, which Ghanaian artiste's song are you going to play?", Nana Fynn is wondering. He said artistes request that their songs are made very loud to blast like they were dance songs and “most engineers are mixing very loud because that is what the managers are asking for", he added. Nana Fynn is blaming the trend on the current breed of radio DJ's who play songs as though they were playing in a club. This practice he says makes it difficult for slow tempo songs to make hits in Ghana. He dismissed the view that loud music is what the audience wants. “People will take what you give them" Nana Fynn quipped.

Nigeria dominates because Ghanaian content unavailable - M-Net - See more at: http://www.myjoyonline.com/entertainment/2015/September-2nd/nigeria-dominates-because-ghanaian-content-unavailable-m-net.php#sthash.JQ3ut4N5.dpuf

Over the years, several countries, including Ghana, have expressed concern about the total dominance of Nigerian content on local radio and televisions. While countries like Kenya have called for a total ban on Nigerian music on their airways, another concern other African countries raise is the dominance of Nigerian content on pay television platforms DStv and GOtv. MutiChoice, owners of DStv and GOtv, has attributed the situation to the availability of Nigerian content whilst same cannot be said of countries like Ghana. Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, Regional Director, M-Net West Africa answering a question from Myjoyonline.com on the issue said Nigeria produces more content that meets the standards of MultiChoice. Content on MultiChoice’s platform, particularly West Africa, is “driven by Nigeria because of what is available,” she explained. Answering the question at the MultiChoice Africa’s Media Round Table Wednesday, as part of activities lined up for this year’s MultiChoice Africa Content Showcase Extravaganza in Mauritius, she said her outfit has been engaging Ghanaian producers to increase the country’s content on DStv and GOtv. MultiChoice has over the past year engaged content providers in Ghana on the standard of movies, series, music videos and other productions that meet the pay television provider’s requirements. “We also nurture the local suppliers in Ghana… to build a great content that we can also showcase on our channels,” the M-Net West Africa boss said. Wangi added that “We buy content that is available and we buy content across West Africa and we do have Ghanaian suppliers that we work with and as long as we begin to see content coming out of the regions, they come to us, we will acquire.” She assured that, considering the structures they have put in place, there will more Ghanaian content on their platform as the years go by. The 2015 MultiChoice Africa Content Showcase Extravaganza kicked off Tuesday night with a magical event filled with #OnlyTheBest of African entertainment. The star-studded event, which is the second edition, kicked off with guests walking down the African media Walk of Fame onto a red-carpet that opened up to a sensational night of dazzling entertainment. The event, dubbed 'Night of a Thousand Stars' saw all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, Bollywood and Nollywood come to life, as guests that include Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Desmond Elliot and Ramsey Nouah were given the full movie-star treatment. The event witnessed exciting performances from Flavour, Stonebwoy and The Mavins. The MultiChoice Africa Content Showcase is a dynamic 5-day content extravaganza, which sees a host of DStv’s biggest channels, including Sony, SuperSport, Zee TV, A+E, Disney, MTV Base, BET, Comedy Central, BBC and M-Net previewing their latest and greatest content, soon to be seen across the video entertainment services provider’s platforms. - See more at: http://www.myjoyonline.com/entertainment/2015/September-2nd/nigeria-dominates-because-ghanaian-content-unavailable-m-net.php#sthash.JQ3ut4N5.dpuf
